Common questions

The apps didn't lock again. Check Screen Time permission is still on for ReadUnlock (Parent → Locked apps shows it). Locks are applied by iOS even when ReadUnlock is closed.

My child read the page but it didn't turn. Reading needs about 85% of a page's words to be heard (short pages allow one word to be missed). A quieter room and holding the device closer help. A grown-up can skip a page with “Grown-up: skip this page” under it (the parent PIN is needed).

"This device can't listen in this language yet." Add the language in Settings → General → Keyboard → Dictation Languages, and connect to Wi-Fi once so it downloads.

I forgot my parent PIN. Tap "Forgot PIN?" on the PIN screen and enter the recovery code you saved at setup.

Restoring ReadUnlock Plus. Parent → ReadUnlock Plus → See what Plus adds → Restore Purchases. Plus is shared with your family through Family Sharing.

Cancelling. Subscriptions are managed by Apple: Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or Parent → ReadUnlock Plus → Manage subscription.
